People with fully developed features characteristic of the Mercurius Solubilis type present the clinical picture seen in chronic mercury intoxication – a picture of long-term, severe, unremitting disease. They have thickened, pale lips, either greasy or dry brittle hair, sparse eye lashes and irregular, eroded teeth. Their face is shiny and gray, with brownish spots and deep seated eyes.

Often, people of this type are lazy, stubborn, unsociable and apathetic. They have poor memory and poor logical thinking, with a highly developed guilt complex, and unpredictable rage outbursts. Their clothes are careless, worn out and shabby.
